WE ARE OFFERING TWO SESSIONS OF INTRO FOR SPRING 2013. Foundations of Improv introduces the beginner to improv performance. The class will focus on the basics of character and environment work, and on building trust with fellow performers. Please register online for the class. Email info@bigimprov.org with questions. SESSION ONE:
Instructor Bio: Kathryn Carlsen is a member of Gus. She is a theatre teacher with Howard County Public Schools, and the Education Director of the Baltimore Improv Group. Kathryn has been performing with BIG for 6 years, and has taught classes at BIG for 5 years. She co-wrote a selective course in “Improving Communication with Improvisation” for Johns Hopkins Medical Students. Kathryn has performed at national improv festivals in Washington DC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and New York.
SESSION TWO:
Instructor Bio: Dave LaSalle is a member of Training for Prom and The Bully Union: Local 128. He has performed in the Chicago Improv Festival, The New York Improv Festival, the Providence Improv Festival, and directed Inceptionprov for Washington, D.C.'s Improvapalooza. He has appeared onstage in BIG's Unscripted, Regret, Mothers of the American Revolution, and Shakespeare Project.
