2011 Improv Summer Camp for Kids

Baltimore Improv Group's 4th Improv Summer Camp for Kids!

The Baltimore Improv Group (BIG) is happy to announce the return of its improv summer camp for kids ages 12 to 17! Our camp will be held at Bolton Street Synagogue.

Do your kids love theater and improv? Are they creative? Are they ready to have a fun time this summer? Then have them join two well-qualified improv instructors from the Baltimore Improv Group for a week of inspired improv!

The camp will be held at The Bolton Street Synagogue in Baltimore (212 W. Cold Spring Lane, Baltimore) from Monday, July 25th to Friday, July 29th, 2011

The camp will run from 9am to 3pm daily. Students will learn the basics of improv, including creating solid scene work and fun characters. The students will also learn different types of improv formats, structures and games. Through it all, the students will see their self-confidence increase while exploring their own creativity and how group trust and teamwork make for amazing and hilarious improv theater. The week concludes with a special performance for family and friends on Friday, July 29th at 3:00 pm at the space.

No improv or theater experience is necessary, but kids who want to come should have serious interest in improv and the theater world.

The cost is $300/week. For applications and more information, email Bridget Cavaiola, bridget@bigimprov.org.
